"Such a great film, especially if you have interest in Nordic mythology! The cinematography is beautiful. Final field/lake scene sends home a message relatable to all. A must see!"

I loved this movie! The fact that it is does not directly reveal everything you need to know in a sequential order is what is so cool about it. There are definitely things you will miss on the first watch, so it leaves you wanting to watch it again and again. Great cast, and I can’t wait to see what they put out next!

Definitely was one of the best horrors. 2024. Top notch acting by the cast. Lydia Mason was absolutely amazing. Anybody that wants to make a top notch horror on an indie budget should watch the Vord and take notes. Will definitely watch the Vord more than once.

The Vord, is a masterfully crafted story that dives deep into the haunting beauty of ancient Nordic mythology...It’s a refreshing and unique take brings a breathing new life into folklore with a narrative that feels timeless and hauntingly beautiful...What sets The Vord apart, beyond its compelling narrative, is its breathtaking cinematography. The film showcases beautiful, sweeping shots of mountains and dense, foreboding forests—a landscape that feels like a character in its own right. The natural beauty is perfectly with the dark, creeping terror...This is not your typical exploration of ancient legends—The Vord brings a fresh spin to the genre, adding layers of mystery, dread, and spirituality. It’s the kind of story that lingers in your mind long after the credits roll, urging you to unravel its deeper meanings and rather you have a Vord yourself.
Overall, The Vord is a triumph of storytelling and atmosphere. It’s rare to see such a seamless blend of myth, suspense, and stunning visuals. This is a film I will be raving about to others for a long time to come, and I look forward to seeing it gain the recognition it deserves. If you’re a fan of atmospheric fantasy with a hint of a thriller substance, this one is not to be missed!

“I was lost. I kept thinking I missed something. I did. I watched again with a couple of friends. Afterward we argued. One of us didn’t like the editing. One of us thought that the actor who played The Reverend was horrible. Everyone loved The Shadow. All of us loved the actor who was the mother and how she was so brave when she walked into the *redacted- spoiler* It was interesting that we could love her and not love her at the same time. We get how people can be a lot of things at once and she did it wonderfully. Great role and acting for that part. We screamed and cringed. But in the end we all agreed we all saw something different in every person, and when we talked about it we finally understood what the hell was going on. If a movie can make so many disagreements, and so many different opinions, and so many ideas it has something to it. I think the filmmaker wanted people to talk about it. We did. I think I was a little disappointed because it was billed as a horror movie. But when I watched again I realized it had a very different kind of horror. It makes people see things they don’t want to see. I really loved this movie, and aside from some rough acting and jumpy editing I think it was a really great story about people and what they will do to feel loved and forgiven.”
We thought we'd share our independent scores. Why? Because some random 'film reviewers' churn out 'opinions' that misstated things - and slapped those opinions on a wall without looking back. We care about our actors and our story.
